GET OUT

GET OUT

Exploring the Crimean conflict between Ukraine and Russia, one thing that was consistent throughout my research was how beautiful their traditional pieces are from clothing to carpets to plates. This seemed the perfect opportunity to create an impactful and, at the same time, beautiful campaign.

With the occupation of Crimea, a lot of their traditional pieces were destroyed, and with that in mind, the idea was to revive those and use them as the main inspiration.

Determining what the slogan would be was crucial, and in this instance what seemed to make the most sense was to have something simple but impactful: Get Out. This sentence would then be put all over a traditional Crimean piece of clothing, in both scripts, the latin and the cyrillic.

The idea is that it represents how the occupation impacted their traditions, making them lose a part of themselves. It's basically saying get out, leave our traditions alone.
